TRANSFORMATIONAL SKETCHBOOK

JOURNALING MASTERCLASS
SUITE

You've got a beautiful collection of half-filled sketchbooks, some still waiting to be filled! You get off to a good start but it just doesn't stick. You lose motivation and get stuck!

You've read the blogs and follow folks on social media who keep daily sketchbooks but you feel more confused than ever, trying to piece together how to do it on your own. Wrestling with limited time, loads of self-judgement, concerns about skill level, media, color...the list goes on.

You wish someone would just take you by the hand and guide you through each step needed to create your own daily creative journaling practice, and that you had a way you could just ask questions when you need to.

Imagine what it will feel like when you've finally hopped off the social media time suck and started spending time with the real you, finally connecting with yourself, facing your fears, getting vulnerable and present in real time with your journal!

Imagine what you're going to feel like once you've been journaling for 3 months, figured out a schedule, have your favorite supplies and journaling spot and look forward to it every day!

Maybe you are suddenly looking for things to be grateful for and paying attention to your surroundings. Realizing how lucky you are in spite of all the chaos going on around us.

You get to release any angst or worries that plague you, getting them out of your head and onto the page. You can move on and let peace fill your mind and heart!

Your friends and family are thrilled when you tell them you've included them in your pages...they also see you becoming more creative in other areas of your life, more engaged, and excited about trying new things!

Imagine looking forward to doing a page every day. Writing notes to yourself throughout the day, because you want to remember special moments to include on your next journal page...!

You don’t have to be careful in this class…it’s very uninhibited. The way you demonstrate is very effective, your ideas are very personalthere is a lot of freedom in the way you teach. It’s (journaling) something I look forward to doing every day.”    - Meg S.

TRANSFORMATIONAL SKETCHBOOK JOURNALING MASTER CLASS SUITE PROGRAM

What did you learn from this course? So much! Learning how to consider what each day has brought and how to record it visually. So important at a particularly isolating and often painful and frightening time. Artistically, learned how to illustrate words, use color and graphic techniques, draw faces and figures, use color to enhance/express a mood or idea. As a writer, this was especially exciting, including illustrating words, to make words and thoughts come alive.

What did you expect to learn or experience in this class? I hoped to gain insight into a different technique for journaling. I am a writer but ironically, have rarely written about or for myself. This provided a number of prompts and ideas from Anne’s own life and experiences that she was open to sharing.” - Carol L.

“Journaling, I believe, is a practice that teaches us better than any other the elusive art of solitude, how to be present with our own selves, bear witness to our experience, and fully inhabitant our inner lives”. - Maria Popova
